Letter from one of our Westchester residents asking for the immediate dissolution of the MAC:

"Dear Neighbors,

Although opposing the forced incorporation in District 10 transcends political boundaries, I wanted to inform everyone that I will be introducing a resolution to the Miami-Dade Republican Executive Committee (REC) to have the local party officially oppose what is being done to our area. The Chairman of the REC is Commissioner Rene Garcia and, at last night’s REC meeting, he encouraged the introduction of the resolution.

I call on any of you who may be Republicans to consider joining the REC so you can hopefully have a vote on this resolution when it is brought before the REC (see more information here: https://www.miamidadegop.org/getinvolved

I also equally recommend our Democrat neighbors lean on the Miami-Dade Democratic Executive Committee to also oppose this forced incorporation effort so we can show the Commission our opposition to being summarily bypassed is nonpartisan.

All of us had the right to be consulted before a municipal advisory committee (MAC) was ever formed and the Commission and the Mayor need to hear our united voice demanding a repeal of the waiver of our consent they granted to Commissioner Souto and an immediate end to the Westchester MAC."
