The city of north Vancouver wants to amend the current OCP height restriction and rezone to allow for an 18 story tower, for low income rentals on the corner of East 2nd & St George, as part of the North Shore Neighbourhood House redevelopment.

Not only will this reduce property values and views from those living north of this, it sets a dangerous precedent for other developers to build too high along the block. If this block gets amended, whats to stop the city from amending the OCP for any other block? Your block? It will also take away from the current charm of the existing neighborhood that includes older smaller homes, community gardens, and mostly low rises of only 3 stories.
