OCTOBER 20TH INTERIM PUBLIC HEARING

The Public Interim Hearing. with our Senators on the Health and Human Services Committee yesterday, was very productive. We'd like to thank our Senators on the committee for listening to us. They asked great questions about our industry and the impact LB-343 could have on our profession, and the safety of Nebraskans. The dialog was insightful. "Big money" organizations, from outside our State were present, basically presenting the same misleading information. The most promising signal that NCU received, was the ability of our Senators to be open minded and truely concerned about what is best for their constituents and our great state of Nebraska. We believe they will understand, that through studying the situation, lowering educational requirements does not serve the best interests of the citizens of Nebraska. As Mrs. L. Jane Nims testified at the hearing, "Let Nebraska lead the nation in education, safety, and professionalism." We have much to be proud of. Please continue to sign our petition.
