Dear Merlone Geier Partners:

In the last few years, several grocery store locations have closed for business in Chula Vista, one of which being Albertson's located at the Shops at San Miguel Ranch. We, the citizens of Chula Vista, sign this letter to encourage Merlone Geier and Albertson's to work together to bring a new grocery store to this location. 

Currently, the Shops at San Miguel Ranch location is owned by your partnership. Our understanding is that there is over 15 years still left on the lease with Albertson's. Our community would like to see this empty building that was vacated by Albertson's filled with a business that would enhance our neighborhood and strongly encourage your company to work with Albertson's for the betterment of our citizens.

Thank you to Sara Ramirez, Courtney Sewell, Yules Navarro, and Mirele Gugger for their diligent efforts to bring back a grocery store to the Shops at San Miguel Ranch (Revive Shops at San Miguel Ranch) and working with Councilmember McCann to find a solution bettering our community!
