The mainstream Canadian cricket league, the Global T20, also known as the GT20, has been on a steep decline as of its latest season which has just concluded with many fans who are left empty handed. Many of the matches this season of GT20 have been washed out and abandoned due to rain and shockingly some matches have been cancelled due to unsafe pitch conditions. These issues, along with drama regarding a franchise refusing to play a super over and getting eliminated because of the refusal, along with the disappointments regarding the failed signings of players due to NOCs not being given out, and to top it all off, empty stands, is why this GT20 season looks to be one of, if not its very last dance. 

To aid and resurrect this declining league, one of its most feasible hopes is to merge it with the rising MLC, or Major League Cricket, the premier cricket league in the United States. 

Once both leagues form, it will make for a pan-North American League that will draw more fans and increase the competition of the league due to the increased teams and the aspect of the USA vs Canada cricket rivalry that has stemmed since the 1800s. 

In order for this collective idea thought up of by many in a community to be heard, support from people as well as respective USA and Canadian Cricket Boards are needed.
