In light of the recent home invasions in Plumpton's Aspire Estate, and the soaring crime rate in Hillside, Caroline Springs and Taylors Hill, we residents demand that Caroline Springs Police Station is open 24 hours. It has become apparent that Melton Police resources are stretched beyond their limits with the area they cover, resulting in poor response times of at least 15-20 minutes for violent crime. This is unacceptable. People should not have to take the law into their own hands. But with these obvious budget cuts, we are left with no alternative. We pay our rates. We demand action. Don't make us criminals too.
