Melbourne United stop using retired Tigers jersey numbers!

This petition had 18 supporters

Melbourne United has allowed it's players to use numbers retired by the team they were previously known as, The Melbourne Tigers.

Ray Gordon's #8 and Lanard Copeland's #21 are seen every week on the court and that is disrespectful to Tigers fans as those numbers were retired by the Tigers in respect to the service those players gave to the team.

Dave Simmons #25 is also listed as in use by a development player, there have been other uses of retired numbers including #6 and #10.

As Melbourne United pride themselves on honouring past history, it is a foregone conclusion that this should extend to the retired jerseys and discontinue the use of #8 and #21 and #25 as well as ensuring nobody uses #6, #10, #25 and #50 in the future.

Ramone Moore - #10 in 2016/17

Kyle Adnam - #8

Nate Tomlinson - #6

Casper Ware - #21

Durrell McDonald - #25
