The very first RTA meeting ( Reservoir Trailer park Association ). Was held Thursday 8-4-16 at 6:30. The turn out was very strong with Members, Associate Members, Neighbors and Supporters. Officers were appointed with an election to be held at the November meeting or shortly thereafter. Many topics were discussed: RTA's mission and long term goals, members' birthday recognition, RTA Youth Group, school bus stop location, RTA website, drinking water quality, protecting the reservoir, and EPA's Clean Water Act, but most of the discussion was about J and J Trash Co. trying to move in and how to stop it. New members joined and membership applications were handed out for others that could not attend. Overall, it was a huge success. Officers will be meeting once or twice a week to keep the ball rolling. Next general meeting will be Sept. 1st at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at the Beaver Run Fish and Game Club, 2631 Old Kays Mill Road, Finksburg, MD 21048. Take Rt. 91, turn onto Hughes Road, drive to rifle range. Can't miss it. See you there, bring a new member with you. Pic was taken after the meeting, sorry to those that had already left.
