The snowstorm has subsided, but our roads and sidewalks are not yet cleared. Opening school overall is not an idea that maximizes student safety and efficiency. Parents would have to face tough safety decisions, our students who walk would have to walk on the roads, and the conditions are still not up to the top standard. The roads are clogged and unsafe. A reasonable compromise would be to open some schools for purposes of lunch, as I am proud that the Board has already done. The decision will come today, and I hope that our voice is taken into account.
