McDonald's and other restaurants around Australia often provide News Corp newspapers freely for customers to read. These papers are filled with hatred and alt-right propaganda, with mastheads including The Australian and The Daily Telegraph.

Recently The Australian has been waging an ideological campaign against transgender people, having already published thirteen negative articles against trans peeps by the middle of August. News Corp papers frequently attack LGTBQIA+ Aussies and other minorities and cause division and fear in the community.

McDonald's is a family restaurant. It is painful to see the company promoting hateful propaganda in their businesses. We call on McDonald's, Subway and all restaurants around Australia to say no more, and to remove News Corp papers from their stores.

On a personal note - I met my now fiance Amanda outside of the George St McDonald's in Sydney before our first date in May 2018. Please, Maccas, don't let the special spot where I first saw my special one remain tarnished by hateful propaganda.
