In addition to all those signatures, the campaign has received more than 621 personal heartfelt stories from supporters, and believe me when I say we’re reading every one of them, and they all count! We've even received support from the artist Craig David and local surfing champ Joel Parkinson! Not surprisingly, despite this campaign being connected to the mayor, our local members of parliament and 5 waterfront district council members, I haven’t received any acknowledgement or communication from any of these officials. So let's turn up the volume! PLEASE INCREASE YOUR SUPPORT BY TAKING UP MY CHALLENGE (1) Relentlessly spread the word - personally ask 10 more friends to sign up, share the campaign on your social media (personal or business), or ask your media contacts to get involved. (2) In addition to signing the change.org campaign, personally write to the Gold Coast City Council at mail@goldcoast.qld.gov.au and ask for a personal reply from the Mayor Tom Tate, or a disability services officer. Back it up with a phone call and this issue will soon be on their map!
