Dear Hoboken Waterfront Supporters and Change Makers!
We wanted to let you know that our presentation of 4,851 petition signatures at City Hall this week was a HUGE success!
Special thanks to the group of Hoboken residents that actively collected signatures and the 50+ people that showed up to demonstrate their strong support. It was so fun to see the many faces at City Hall that raised their hands in dedication to saving Hoboken's beautiful waterfront. There were even some superstar kids that stayed up past their bedtime with homemade signs!
After the meeting, we heard from several City Council members that they were surprised and impressed by both the public turnout and the sheer number of signatures gathered! Your efforts have clearly put a sense of urgency on them to find a solution to ensure we Save our Waterfront and Stop Project Monarch!
Next Steps:
We will continue to engage Mayor Bhalla and the City Council over the coming weeks and we will let you know when we reach the next critical juncture. Most likely, it will involve a resolution and a final vote, which will determine the fate of the site once and for all.
When that time comes, we will let you know. Next time, we'll need hundreds of supporters with us to make sure the City Council votes in favor of protecting our waterfront. Stay tuned!

Union Dry Dock (UDD) Update:
Given many of you have also expressed concerns about the Union Dry Dock site, we wanted to share with you the most important petition from our friends at Fund for a Better Waterfront (FBW):
FBW's UDD Petition: https://betterwaterfront.org/?page_id=10483
FBW is leading the charge in urging Governor Murphy, the final decision-maker, to put the NY Waterways industrial diesel ferry maintenance terminal somewhere other than in the middle of Hoboken's waterfront park. Each signature generates an individual email that will be sent directly to Governor Murphy. Let's flood his inbox! We really need to protect our entire waterfront. Your voice, as well as the voice of your friends and neighbors matters! So please sign it and please share it with everyone you know!
