In November 2024, we launched the Bus Driver Bill of Rights campaign with one clear message: enough is enough.
Today, more than 27,000 people have signed.
That is 27,000 voices saying bus drivers deserve better.
And we are not slowing down.
This issue is being raised consistently and directly with senior leadership at Transport for London, the Head of Buses, the Mayor of London and City Hall. Emails are being sent. Accountability is being demanded. The pressure is ongoing.
This is not a symbolic campaign.
This is a sustained push for contractual change.
Bus drivers keep London moving every single day. We manage risk, conflict, pressure and responsibility that most people never see. Yet basic protections and standards are still not guaranteed in writing.
A Bus Driver Bill of Rights written into contracts is not extreme.
It is fair.
It is practical.
And it is overdue.
We are building momentum.
We are building visibility.
And we are building leverage.
Change does not happen because we ask once.
It happens because we refuse to stop asking.
Keep sharing the petition.
Keep talking about the issue.
Keep standing together.
This movement is about respect, safety and dignity in one of the most demanding public-facing roles in London.
The fight goes on — and we are not going anywhere.
