On Monday the 7th day of August, 2023 Officer Richard Troup of 583 Bob White Loop Hortense Ga 31543 and Mr Allen Stone of 81 Old Bryson Farm Rd Waverly, Ga 31565 committed the crime of trespassing when they came onto private property located at 9650 Browntown Rd Hortense Ga 31543 and committed the crime of Theft by taken when Officer Troup gave the ok to Mr Allen Stone to take possession of the Drury Family’s 1950 Ford 8N Farm Tractor.
Joe Drury Sr bought this tractor way back in 1999 and it has been in their family’s possession ever since. It has been sitting in the same spot on the property located at 9650 Browntown Rd, Hortense Ga for the past four years. Officer Richard Troup has walked right beside this same tractor on many occasions while trespassing on the property & when he visited this property to respond to calls to the residence of Donald Drury.
Mr. Allen Stone may have mistaken the Drury tractor for his stolen tractor at first, but upon him loading and unloading the Drury farm equipment, he would have noticed that this tractor could not have POSSIBLY been his. Officer Richard Troup returned to the Drury property located on Browntown Rd Tuesday the 8th day of August, 2023 & arrested Mr. Donald Drury for theft by taking a tractor that has been in his family for almost two and a half decades. Prior to Mr Drury’s arrest at approximately 5:30pm he & his significant other Amanda Sweat were lying in bed & heard & felt an intruder breaking into their front door. Mr Donald Drury & Amanda Sweat were both scared for their lives because they both knew that their residence was locked & secured upon them going to bed & Officer Richard Troup broke their front door & deadbolt & door casing with a very loud forceful thrust or kick & then they heard someone gain entrance into their home.
They were both scared and confused & now an intruder has gained entrance into their home. Mr Drury sprung up out of his bed & told His fiance’ to stay behind him. He was trying to protect her from the intruder. He screamed out many many times “Who the F*** is in my house? Miss Sweat started crying. Mr Drury then opened his bedroom door & was shocked to see Officer Richard Troup in his home & he had his gun drawn out of his holster & Miss Sweat then looked around Mr Drury & saw it was Officer Richard Troup with his gun pointing at Mr Drury. Miss Sweat came around Mr Drury & as she was going around him he followed behind her & as she exited the bedroom she bumped into Officer Troup’s weapon & as Miss Sweat exited the bedroom & went into the living room she noticed the gun was still pointing at Mr Drury.
She then noticed Officer Daniels standing on their front porch & made eye contact with him. Miss Sweat looked at Officer Troup’s face expressions & saw the surprise in this officer’s eyes. She & Mr Drury exited the residence & officer troup grabbed Mr Drury’s upper arm & slammed him into a gas grill in the yard & he told Mr Drury “you're going to jail”. Mr Drury said no I’m not I haven’t done anything. I have not stolen anyone’s tractor. Officer Troup said well you're going to jail for something.
Officer Daniels responded to the residence with Officer Troup but used his better judgment & chose not to enter into the residence with his fellow officer. Officer Daniels agreed with the victims that Officer Troup was breaking the law by entering into the residence.
We believe that Officer Troup’s motive for arresting Mr Donald Drury is because he found out that Mr Donald Drury was about to swear warrants for his arrest for the Theft of Two of his firearms. This information was reported & is on record with Brantley County dispatch. In addition, Mr Drury has spoken with Sheriff Lynn Davis & he said he was going to get his deputy to return his firearms & unfortunately this was never done, Officer Troup has made false arrest, & he deliberates indifference to serious medical needs or a substantial risk of harm to a person in custody. Approximately, 90 percent of the current inmates that are being housed in The Brantley County Jail were put there by one officer, Richard Troup. Most of these inmate’s Civil Rights have been violated. This officer breaks the law daily just to make an arrest. This man is a predator who harrassess residents of Brantley County & surrounding counties.
This officer should not get away with breaking the law just because he wears a badge. Officer Richard Troup has made illegal traffic stops, he trespasses on citizen’s properties, Holds innocent people as inmates when they have not committed any crimes (False Imprisonment) Breaking an entering of many resident’s homes, he has committed sexual misconduct with known addicts of drug addiction with the exchange of them not being arrested for possession of illegal drugs or drug related objects, he has sexually harassed under age females which has been reported to the Sheriffs department of Brantley County in the past, he has committed felony theft of many firearms from many different Brantley county citizens among other theft crimes.
This kind of police misconduct has been going on in Brantley County Georgia for the past two decades & we the people demand that this matter be resolved immediately by asking for Officer Richard Troup’s immediate resignation. We are asking the Sheriff of Brantley County to do his job & uphold the law for both Officer Richard Troup & Mr Allen Stone who not only made a huge mistake but they broke the law by doing so. On the 27th day of December 2019 my life changed forever. My son and I were arrested by Officer Richard Troupe. I was in route to a friend's home looking for my ex-father n law, Wade R Holton to give him his medication that was left at my home where he was residing prior to the illegal stop. I was not breaking any laws. I asked Officer Troupe why he stopped me & I was given poor excuses. Many charges were simple made up by the officer. The vehicle I was driving was illegally searched and all my father n law's medications were confiscated by the officer. I told the officer to get a warrant I was NOT giving him permission to search the vehicle.
One of the medications was Wade's heart medicine. I spent 87 days in Brantley County Jail and while I was incarcerated my ex father n law, Wade had a massive heart attack & unfortunately, he died. I believe with all my heart and soul this medication could've saved his life. Please help me stop this Officer from doing this to anyone else. His name & picture belongs in the dictionary and/or in our encyclopedia under "Police Misconduct" for committing all as follows;
intimidation, false arrest, false imprisonment, falsification of evidence, spoliation of evidence, police perjury, witness tampering, police brutality, police corruption, racial profiling, unwarranted surveillance, unwarranted searches, unwarranted seizure, trespassing, stalking, harassment. There are two known cases of him planting evidence on Brantley County resident's persons and/or in their vehicles. His past & current employment records should speak for itself but unfortunately, most Brantley County residence are scared to come forward until now. We are asking for his dismissal from duties immediately from Brantley County Sheriff Department as a Police Officer.
