Our use of plastic, as we already know is very harmful to our environment. We all want to be more conscious and more responsible to that issue. 

Usage of plastic bags comes convenient when shopping. We have it on almost every convenient store, malls, local groceries, markets, bakeries and etc. Easy accessibility of plastic makes a problem that sometimes prevent us from doing the right decision and action.

I am just a Grade 12 student of Holy Family Academy but I hope this will make a change to our environment and our city, Angeles. I hope this petition will get to our newly elected city mayor, Mayor Carmelo "Pogi" Lazatin Jr. He has the power to lead a better transformation of this city and its citizens – and REALLY make it happen.

I've done some research and there's actually a local ordinance about regulating the use of plastic and styro-foams in Angeles approved in year 2015. But as I've observed recently, it's not implemented anymore and only a few businesses observe the said ordinance. I hope our newly elected Mayor will strictly implement it by the help of his council and the business owners in the city.

Sustainability requires so much of conscious effort. By making all stores plastic free - whether big businesses or not, will surely make a change towards a conscious community.
