Ms. Webster’s plea to City Council (seen on public video) claims she should be able to keep her “Pet Rabbits” despite city ordinances however; her same plea admits to processing the family pets living at this property for food when they are sick, old or to put meat on the table.

We the petitioners respectfully request Mayor Noel Harty honor City Ordinances and not allow  Webster to house pet rabbits on her property when she in fact clearly stated in public, on video to a City Council Meeting, the family eats their pet rabbits for various reasons - despite claims of moving other “meat rabbits” to Lark Ranch.  Unaltered rabbits birth babies every 30 days; we also request the rabbits be checked on for proper housing and care.

You can see Ms. Webster disrespecting City Ordinances as well as the Mayor of Loogootee on her Facebook page where she claims to be bullied and harassed.

Rabbit owners who “love their pets” do not unethically “utilize and process” them for food and responsible animal owners/parents do not inhumanely allow children to love on pets then coldly kill their children's pets for food.

Please do not surrender rabbits to irresponsible back yard rabbit breeders, contact your local rabbit rescues and shelters for help and to seek healthy pet rabbits to adopt.  

According to the Animal Welfare Act housing guidelines, cramming 10+ rabbits in one small area is not adequate living space essential to a rabbits well-being and 4H does not govern law.
