After the horrifying events Saturday when a crowd of actual Nazis and white supremacists descended on Charlottesville, Virginia, we are calling for an open refutation of the twisted ideology they stand for.

The statue of Robert E. Lee should be removed, and a statue of Heather Heyer should be placed there in its stead. Heather was a 32 year old paralegal who was exercising her right to free speech when a sick white supremacist plowed his car into a crowd of people, causing mass injuries and killing Heather.

White supremacy and Nazism has no place in America and it should be refuted at every opportunity.
