At this difficult time for everyone, there are a number, often low-income people like myself, who will be left without a viable and reasonably priced form of transportation. Mayor Michael Fougere is proposing to close down Regina Transit, leaving many without any options to obtain groceries and other necessities, or just to go to work. This is doubly true for those with disabilities that rely on Paratransit, as I do. This is an undue burden over and above what many are facing at this difficult time. Please tell Mayor Fougere and Regina City Council that this is unacceptable and transit is an essential service for many.

As a person of low-income and disabled, removing access to transit is not in any way good. I have a friend who is a driver with Regina Transit and, while I'm concerned about his health and safety, I also am concerned about having no ability to get to appointments with necessary doctors as well as pharmacies and groceries.
