Save lives, stop racing on Hwy #507. Thrill seekers on motorcycles and race cars need to be stopped.  There has been 96 reported accidents since January 2010 according to OPP. We are being held prisoners in our homes and cottages and are afraid to use this highway.  As tax payers, we need a solution to this problem.  
Please sign my petition so that we can get Trent lakes council to listen to us and take action. There are only two OPP officers in the entire township of Trent Lakes. 
There are hundreds of YouTube sites showing motorcyclist racing from Flynn’s corners to Gooderham recording their time trials and trying to improve them.  These motorcyclists are doing speeds excess of over 200kph.  They are passing cars on corners, weaving in and out of traffic and hogging the centre line.  They are scaring people to death.

On October 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. a SUV driven by dear friends of mine, was hit by a motorcyclist, driven by a 54 year old male from Scarborough, about 15 kilometres from Flynn’s corners.

OPP reported that the northbound motorcyclist was a pronounced dead at the scene.  The two occupants of the SUV were taken to hospital where they needed surgery to fix broken bones on his wrist and foot Their car was a total right off.  They will need years of therapy to get through this tragedy.

What about the fact that our first responders are having to be the first ones in the scene and they will also need years of therapy to help process these accidents. The OPP officer that was at the scene in October told me that she has scene four fatalities since last year.
