Greenwood Village has passed a resolution that shields police officers from being financially accountable for acts of misconduct, effectively removing their police force from a key portion of the police reform law recently passed in the state legislature. Our criminal justice system has already failed so many Americans, particularly African Americans, and this decision is a step in the wrong direction.
