Every year close to the September 11th anniversary New Yorkers have been comforted by the sight of a light display that towers into the sky honoring the victims and heroes of that fateful day.  This light memeorial has come to symbolize not only the resiliency of our wonderful city but also the strength and character of we the people who call New York City and region home.  This year 2020 is not the time to take this symbolism away from New Yorkers and the world.  We should do everything we can to make sure this lighting display happens to remind New Yorkers and the world that it’s through adversity that we are our strongest and that we will once again persevere.
