MCC has suspended all standing notices for the monthly council meeting to discuss the CRISIS OVER THE WESTERN RAIL CORRIDOR CREATED BY THE IRISH RAIL SUPPORT FOR THE SLIGO GREENWAY!!!!
CRISIS? WHAT CRISIS?
So, we need to act over the weekend Friday 10th, Saturday 11 and Sunday 12th to ask local councillors to accept the decision by Irish Rail and move the same idea forward in Mayo.
Please can everyone try and do what they can and contact the councillor or councillors they see fit over the weekend and tell them you are asking them to confirm support of the East Mayo Greenway on the closed railway – and please don’t pull punches
NO GREENWAY NO VOTE IN FUTURE ELECTIONS
What to say to them?
Tell them you welcome the decision by Irish Rail to support the Sligo Greenway project and you are seeking the support of Mayo county councillors to do the same.
Email or whats up or text message them. Tell them No greenway support no vote in future elections.
Put it up to them!
It really is time to wake the sleeping giant of public opinion if favour of the greenway.
