Help end tribal and commercial gill netting in Washington rivers

The Issue

As an avid sport fisherman I myself have had enough of being pushed aside with river shutdowns and unfair rule changes. We as sportsmen deserve more. We continuously put millions of dollars into small towns and big cities yet we see no reward. We deserve to be rewarded with positive sized hatchery runs instead of our hatcheries being shut down. We need new Managment and someone to speak for us and the positive we do for the environment and economy. I understand there are treaties to move around and I am not petitioning to end tribal fishing in any way, shape,or form. I'm Strictly petitioning to end gill nets on rivers to save our steelhead and salmon for future generations. I'm starting this petition to to try to solve some of our issues and to save wild steelhead and salmon that are very quickly declining and in many places disappearing for good because of the use of gill nets. Gill nets in rivers are by far our biggest problem we have with declining runs of steelhead and salmon. One net on a smaller stream/river can wipe out an entire run in only 4/5 years. By signing this petition we can get started saving our wild steelhead and salmon. We can go in as one voice and be heard as sportsmen. Please take the time to sign this petition and join the fight to end river gill netting to save our steelhead and salmon for future generations to come.
