Today is Earth Day when we are all urged to consider carefully the impact of our actions on the environment. Waste is a major theme as is conserving and making careful use of the resources we have. There has been much debate already about the annual cost of wasted medication and a survey in 2010 found that as much as £300 million is wasted annually - at least half of which is avoidable. Imagine how much our Health Services could be enhanced with a saving of that magnitude. We can all make our voices heard to make some changes to this situation.
