MATATAG Curriculum: A Call for Genuine Student Support and Improvement

The Issue

MATATAG Curriculum affects many people but the most direct ones are school children who have to go to school. They handle progressively increased workloads of academics which most of the times leads to students developing stress, anxiety, depression among other mental disorders. The teachers are also posing challenges due to their inability to get prepared for challenges they face so as to meet the demands of the curriculum. It also makes them struggle to teach kids effectively thus the poor quality in the kind of education the children receive. Parents who know that their children are failing in system that lacks the infrastructure, resources, and support they need, especially students in rural and impoverished school districts, are stressed. But still, if the problems with the MATATAG Curriculum are not going to be solved, then the students are going to have high stress levels and poor learning settings.rogressively heavier academic loads, which frequently result in burnout and mental health issues. Due to their lack of training or preparation for the demands of the curriculum, many teachers are also having difficulty. This impairs their capacity to instruct kids effectively, which has an effect on the standard of education they receive.

If the problems with the MATATAG Curriculum are not resolved, students will still experience high stress and poor learning environments. On the long run this might even decrease the spur of education in the country through nurturing a generation of emotional as well as academically-oriented students. But when reforms are made right, the educational system can produce students that are well rounded, help teachers and give fair opportunity to everybody, irrespective of their social or economic status. And then is the Hope for future economic gains for a better Philippines and the Filipino youth.

Preventative measures, however, need to be taken right now. Continuing with the current system hinders education issues threaten students’ academic and mental health, the longer reform is delayed. That is why it is necessary to solve these problems immediately in order not to worsen the positions on the issue of education quality and the gap between schools with available and scarce resources. The Philippine has to act promptly in order to prepare and equip its learners for competitiveness in the global scene since both the sender and receiver dimensions are in the process of rapid evolution. To make these changes will take action today and the nation can move towards a stronger and fair educational system.
