Georgia Board of Massage Therapy

THE EMERGENCY RULE ON CONTINUING EDUCATION HOURS HAS BEEN GRANTED THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF SEPTEMBER 24, 2020 RETROACTIVELY.
The rule allows licensees to obtain CE that is offered by an NCBTMB Approved Provider on a subject related to the practice of massage therapy, in the state of Georgia, by attending in-person, online or by other distance learning methods.

The rule shall be in effect through October 31, 2020. As of November 1, 2020, licensees will be held accountable for completing CE for the cycle ending October 31, 2022 in the manner prescribed in Board Rule 345-4-.02.  Please visit the "Laws, Policies & Rules" section to review the requirements.

The Board does not pre-approve continuing education (CE) courses (Rule 345-4-03). If you are a CE Provider or licensee and want to know if a CE course meets the requirements for license renewal in the state of Georgia, please review the Board Rules, Board Policy Statements and information listed in the Education & Other Information portion of the Board website under the section entitled "Continuing Education Courses Not Accepted By the Board."

The Board encourages all CE Providers, applicants and licensees to reference these resources before offering and/or selecting any course offerings on any site, to include NCBTMB and CE Broker®, which are to be used for the purposes of meeting the continuing education requirements in this state.
