March 19, 2016 Dear Supporters, Thank you for keeping Liz in your thoughts and prayers and for the actions you have taken to support her commutation. Liz is my niece, and I can't tell you how much it means to her family to know that thousands of people are thinking of her. Liz has now been in prison for 22 years, half of her life, and I believe, deeply and sincerely, that she is ready and deserves a second chance at freedom. As you may know, along with four other women sentenced to Life Without Parole, Liz's commutation application has been investigated and is being reviewed by Governor Brown's office. Since the Governor traditionally handles commutations around Christmas and Easter, this is a crucial time to make sure he is aware that Liz has community support.
