At Marshall High School it’s “inappropriate” to wear provocative or excessively tight clothing such as leggings, jeggings, and skinny jeans, clothes that expose midriff,back, and/or cleavage, dresses/skirts must be 3 inches above the knee (which i believe is sexist because apparently it doesn’t apply to ALL students just the girls) , tank tops and/or low cut clothing. The school should educate boys to respect our bodies and stop sexualizing us because we are not objects we are people. I would rather go to school worrying about bringing up my grades and showing up to class on time than to worry about getting dress coded, especially by an uncomfortable male teacher. Dress code promotes rapists behaviour, and my outfit is not the problem it’s the person who is thinking like a rapist. Teach males to respect women instead, because i am NOT distracting. I want to be and feel comfortable going to school without being sexualized in the hallways.
