Hi All:
Congratulations to my BFF Betsy Mullen, who along with Dianne Feinstein was responsible for getting the Breast Cancer Research Stamp out into the world!
I myself have lost some very very close friends to this heinous disease. Buying these stamps helps fund research - and I'm all for that. I am SO militant about these stamps. I ALWAYS ask at every post office I stop into as to if they are carrying the stamp. If they say "No" (which most do"), i give them so much GRIEF!! And every year i say the same thing Breast Cancer Research stamps make GREAT stocking stuffers... so thank you Betsy Mullen for your persistence and perseverance for launching this stamp! Betsy knows first hand how much the funds help as she is a "survivor" herself.

and one more timely donation idea. Journalist Sharon Waxman suggested on twitter to support this women's organization: International Women's Media Foundation https://www.iwmf.org/ - supporting women journalists all over the world, but more timely, supporting women journalists in Afghanistan. I KNOW if I told Marsha about this organization, she'd want to drop everything and send a donation...
As for our Presidential Medal of Freedom campaign ..thanks again for sharing this and "feeding the meters" ( I broke down and donated another $25.00) But I did notice this time , that I got 1000 hits for $25.00 rather than 625 hits, so I feel like I got my money's worth!
I'm excited that we re getting closer to 2000 signatures- with 2500 just around the corner.. 2500 signatures sounds impressive enough to send to the President.
Still hoping some journalist takes up our cause.. Marsha turns 104 in just under TWO months..
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart, everyone -rog
Today's clip Marsha's dear friend Senator George McGovern speaks from his heart about Marsha. Senator McGovern is in "Marsha Hunt's Sweet Adversity". How lucky we were to interview him Thank you again Patricia Ward Kelly for getting him to sit down for us when he was in town in 2010.
