We have all heard about Mark McGowan's monumental border backflip by now.
By delaying the opening further, he is only further adding to the suffering of separated loved ones as well as pushing our opening date further towards winter which only shows poor planning for a respiratory illness especially when the flu will come in and begin circulating after a 2 year hiatus at the same time.
Even the head of the Australian Medical Association has criticised Mark McGowan on this call.
We have done what was asked and many of us have made plans and even booked tickets but are now told we will need to quarantine upon arrival if we are even allowed to enter/return to the state. This is a broken promise of extreme magnitude.
I would ask all of you on Monday, to contact your local state government member and let them know how dissappointed, disillusioned and betrayed we all feel by the lack of leadership shown by our Premier and his callous backflip on his promise to us all.
