The signatories of this petition call on Mark McGowan and the State Government of Western Australia to provide a clearly outlined and detailed plan for opening the State border to all interstate and international travellers.

The current vague details given do not allow for people or businesses to plan for the reopening of state borders.

A clear and concise plan will allow:

*People to plan when and how they can reunite with loved ones, some of whom they have not seen for longer than 18 months. This will then allow them to formalise plans accordingly.

*Businesses can plan and allow for potential increases or decreases in revenues, stock levels, employee numbers and investment in response to the proposed plan and estimated timeline.

*Incentivising vaccination for those within the community who are still delaying their vaccinations, as they feel they are able to wait until an announcement is made regarding reopening before there is a real need to get vaccinated.

We would strongly urge the Premier to present a plan for reopening based on the modeling provided by the Doherty Institute and used as the basis for the Federal Goverment's National Plan To Transition Australia's National COVID-19 response as presented to National Cabinet.
