68th & Carr - 3rd Neighborhood Meeting, Arvada Press, Public Hearings

3rd Neighborhood Meeting - Oct 1st In response to the City's review, the plans for townhouses and duplexes at 68th & Carr continue to change, prompting a 3rd Neighborhood Meeting, to be held on Saturday, October 1st. The Neighborhood Meeting is a requirement for developments of this type, intended for the developer to describe its proposed project to the public, and for the public to ask questions and provide feedback directly to the developer. The first Neighborhood Meeting for the project at 68th & Carr (a.k.a. "Hillside Cottages") was held on Feb. 25th, the second on March 17th. In the months since, the developer has been modifying its plans based on the City's feedback. Those changes will be presented in the 3rd Neighborhood Meeting, on Oct. 1st, with opportunity for you to comment. This could be a turning point in the project. If you and everyone else who signed the petition attend this meeting, 565 neighbors will be gathered together on the build site, united against townhouses and duplexes at 68th & Carr. The Press I will invite and encourage the Arvada Press to attend and to report on this meeting. The larger our number, the more likely that the Press will attend, and the stronger the message we may send to City Council. 3rd Neighborhood Meeting for Hillside Cottages Saturday, Oct. 1st, 9 - 10:30am Gather at the corner of 68th & Carr My email: ArvadaHills@gmail.com Public Hearings 1) The public hearing with the Planning Commission (the first public hearing of two) is scheduled for Tue, Oct. 18th, 6:30pm. 2) The public hearing with City Council is scheduled for Mon, November 21st, 6:30pm. Everyone is welcome at public hearings, where the public has the opportunity to address the City. The more in attendance, the better.
