Cynthia Koehler:
"Thank you for the opportunity to address the fluoride issue. As I have indicated at a number of MMWD Board meetings, I would be happy to have MMWD no longer fluoridate. However, the District is legally required to fluoridate due to binding ballot measures approved by local voters in 1972 and 1978 directing that the District do so. MMWD’s legal advisors are also quite certain that state law requires fluoridation as well. I hope this is helpful."
Kind regards,
Cynthia

Greg Knell:
"Fluoridation with the toxic Chinese industrial by product of aluminum smelting as been going on for years. And it is voted on by law to continue every year, 24 years by my opponent and 4 years consecutively by the Ross Valley Director. I will end toxic fluoridation if elected. I know it takes 3 votes, but if elected it removes Jack Gibson who has always stated his law degree is at stake if he opposes the powerful lawyers who make their money off poisoning our water. I don't appreciate those who govern from a position of fear and subject our children to this toxic byproduct of Chinese chemical sales. My legal career is behind me as I have made my living as a graphic designer for the last 35 years. It was a left brain, right brain thing and I quit my practice to go on the road with my band.
I have found another argument to support my long held position. Trump has put a 25% tariff on all chemicals imported from China. So for budget reasons as well as health we need to break this import bond with China. We need to lower water rates and this is where to start. Eliminate the chemical purchase and the entire infrastructure of trained handlers, pumps and mixing equipment powered by purchased power.
As a long time educator and 16 year San Rafael City Schools trustee and President of the School Board I have been concerned with the explosion of ADHD and Autism pointing to environmental pollution. New research has made a direct link to fluoridation as being the reason for this spike in ADHD that has befuddled researchers.
I think it is time to end fluoridation both from a health and economic perspective. We must slow the rate increases.
Please visit my website below and contribute what you can as my campaign is the only chance to turn this situation around. Others have campaigned on this only to abandon their commitments.
I am different. Look at my record of public service in many areas. Particularly my co founding of RxSafe Marin and my work with the sewerage agencies to limit drugs in the treated water. My record is solid unlike my opponent or any recent elected Director. Please visit my website and give me your endorsed support and any donation you can afford to finally make a real difference in stopping the pollution of our water by hydrofluorosilicic acid.
Thank you for your attention and commitment to this serious health problem."

Jack Gibson:
"Thank you for your email, and your work and interest in the fluoridation issues. Like you I am paying close attention to the science on the subject and, monitoring it closely. I am working with my colleague and friend Larry Bragman to make sure the State Regulators are fully advised of current scientific advances on the issue, and hoping for relaxation of the constraints imposed on our district."
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Jack Gibson
