Keep Marco Island Beach Access Closed

Keep Marco Island Beach Access Closed
The Issue
On April 6, 2020 the Marco Island City Council voted 4-3 to reopen two public beach access points. This will undoubtedly cause an influx of people from outside of Marco Island to come in, thereby increasing the potential for COVID-19 to spread further. We need to continue to observe the stay-at-home order. There is no responsible reason for Marco Island to open its public beach access when even Collier County refuses to open their beaches.
We are already seeing the opening of Marco Island beach accesses as a local news headline that is being spread on social media, and seeing comments and statements from people off the island planning to make the trip down because all the other beaches in Collier County remain closed!
Please sign the petition to tell the Marco Island City Council to help keep our residents safe by keeping the beach accesses and the beach itself CLOSED.
