We are the family and friends of Alfred Pocari. We wish to petition Manhattan Community Board 7 to change the name of West 98th and West End Avenue to Alfred Pocari Way in memory of Alfred, whom was killed at the intersection when a speeding, texting driver hit him and another pedestrian on July 19, 2019. Alfred diligently served his community with an unrelenting smile and kind heart as a doorman at 785 West End Ave for years. The community board requires the community and business owners within a two-block radius of the intersection sign this petition.  We need the help and kindness of each member of community to make our dream to honor Alfred a reality.
