I love our country and our flag. We should be like many other nations: proud of our history, proud of our country, and unafraid to fly our flag. It breaks my heart that, in recent times, so many in our nation have grown fearful of displaying the symbols that should unite us. I respect other countries and admire the pride they display when their national flags fly high over their lands; I am not offended by these symbols, but inspired. This should not be ashamed of, this is our England, our Great Britain. 

Let's walk with heads held high, united under the Union Jack and St. George's flag, our pride unfurled for all to see. Flying these flags on every public building would be a statement, a declaration of our unity, our shared history, and our collective pride. This practice is not uncommon - the U.S. Flag Code, for example, mandates the displaying of their flag on all public buildings and schools. We could and should do the same.

This flag, a woven tapestry of trials overcome, victories won, and shared experiences, belongs to all of us - and all of us belong to it. Let's reclaim our national pride. Let’s rally for the display of the Union Jack and St. George's flag on every public building in Britain. Stand up for what you love; stand up for our nation, stand up for our flag.
