Mandate Wheelchair Accessible Restrooms in Tampa, FL

The Issue

Citizens of Tampa, Florida, deserve equal rights to access public facilities, yet many bathrooms remain inaccessible to wheelchair users. According to the American Community Survey, an estimated 30,000 residents of Tampa are living with a disability (American Community Survey, 2015-2019). Our community must respond to these residents' needs by implementing laws that promote inclusivity and accessibility. Mandating wheelchair-accessible restrooms in public spaces throughout Tampa would constitute a significant step towards equality. This change removes barriers to participation and ensures everyone feels welcomed in our community. Sign the petition and join us in our fight to implement necessary changes for our fellow citizens.
