Every time I pass through the beautiful city of Biñan, Laguna, I am disheartened by the sight of garbage scattered on the sides of our roads. This not only tarnishes the beauty of our community but also disrupts traffic flow as it can block tricycles and other vehicles that need to travel.

Our city deserves better. It is high time we address this issue head-on and ensure a cleaner, healthier environment for all residents. We propose a mandate requiring trash trucks to collect waste from every community in Biñan every three days. This will drastically reduce littering and improve traffic conditions.

According to a study by The World Bank, mismanaged waste contributes to flooding, air pollution and public health issues such as respiratory problems (World Bank Report on Solid Waste Management). By ensuring regular trash collection in our city, we can mitigate these risks and contribute towards making Biñan a cleaner place to live.
