As Eastside residents of Santa Barbara, we have witnessed firsthand how our local businesses struggle to thrive without adequate promotion and visibility. Our assets are rich and diverse, but unfortunately, the lack of a centralized platform has limited their potential growth and coverage. Therefore, this petition calls for the City of Santa Barbara to create a resource page dedicated to the Eastside community on their official website.

The goals of this resource page are to boost local businesses by providing them a much-needed platform to showcase their products and services, thereby driving growth and profitability; to foster greater sense of community among residents by affording them the opportunity to explore and take advantage of the resources available in their backyard; and to provide our residents with an essential tool for us to advocate more efficiently for our needs to city officials.

The time has come for the City of Santa Barbara to act by providing a platform that uplifts our local businesses, creates a stronger sense of community within the Eastside, and allows us to advocate for our needs more effectively.
