Mandate Female Representation in Matters of Female Reproductive Rights

Mandate Female Representation in Matters of Female Reproductive Rights
The Issue
Looking at me, you would mistake me for a typical right-wing dude. But I'm not. Laws regulating what a person can or cannot do with their own body just seems like a masked form of oppression to me.
Women's reproductive rights are under-litigated, and ironically, by those who will never directly experience them - men. This issue is deeply personal to me as I believe in the essential human principle of bodily autonomy. For this reason, I propose a federal mandate that only females, elected and identified as such from birth, can vote on or against any bill concerning female reproductive rights.
Consider this: as per the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP), women make up just 26.7% of Congress, despite being roughly half the population in the United States. It's direly unequal, considering that any legislation passed affects all females nationwide.
Having only biologically female representatives vote on such bills is not about exclusion - Men, of course, are crucial allies in this fight and are needed in the broader discussion on reproductive rights. But when it comes to final voting on specific laws, those with the pertinent lived experiences should have the deciding voice.
Help us create a more just, fair, and representative legislative system for women's reproductive rights. Please sign this petition, and together, let's bring about the change we seek.
Look, this isn't a pro choice or pro life thing. This is protecting a person's physical self from potential future problems as well as giving the decision power in the hands of those it's effecting.
As a country we have a long way to go to proper equality. We've came a long way but the progress isn't complete until everyone has it! This petition isn't the end. This is just the beginning and given the political climate and fear, this is where I chose to start. Join me today in trying to make this country the best it can be for now and the future to come!
