Mandate Colorado Congress to Allow Citizen Vote on Trump Ballot Inclusion

The Issue

As a concerned citizen of Colorado, I am deeply troubled by the recent decision made by our state government. A decision that was made without consulting us, the people who elected them into office. It's personal to me and it should be personal to every Coloradan because we were not given a chance to voice our opinion on whether or not Donald Trump should be allowed on the ballot.

Our democracy is built upon the principle of representation, where every citizen has a say in matters that affect them. The recent action taken by our government undermines this principle and takes away our right to participate in decisions that shape our future.

In 2020, over 1.8 million Coloradans voted for Donald Trump (source: Federal Election Commission). This number represents nearly 42% of all votes cast in Colorado during the presidential election. By denying these citizens their right to vote for their preferred candidate once again, we are silencing a significant portion of our population.

We call upon the Colorado congress to rectify this situation immediately. We demand they allow us, as citizens of this great state, an opportunity to vote on whether or not Donald Trump should be included in future ballots.

This is about more than just one candidate; it's about preserving democratic principles and ensuring everyone's voice is heard regardless of political affiliation. Please sign this petition if you believe in upholding these values and want your voice heard!
