Mandate Chamberlain University to Provide a Lender for Its Nursing Program

The Issue

My name is, Quinola McCullough, obtaining a lender to secure funding for school is incredibly personal to me because, as a sophomore at Chamberlain University, I am at risk of having to withdraw due to financial constraints. I currently work as an LPN and have a deep passion for nursing. Advancing my career is not just a professional goal but a personal mission to make a meaningful impact in my community. I aspire to specialize in infectious diseases, particularly focusing on HIV and AIDS, where I believe I can make a significant difference. Without the necessary funding, all my hard work and dedication may go to waste, and I might not be able to continue pursuing my dream of becoming a specialized nurse who can contribute positively to the healthcare field.

Unfortunately, my story is not unique. Many students face significant challenges in securing private loans due to various factors such as credit history, lack of a co-signer, or insufficient financial resources. This financial obstacle can prevent dedicated and capable individuals from entering the nursing profession, which is already experiencing a critical shortage of qualified nurses. By providing an in-house lending option or partnering with financial institutions to offer specialized loans, Chamberlain University can help bridge this gap and support the next generation of nurses.

The requested solution is for Chamberlain University to implement a lender option for students like us, who are unable to secure a lender independently. As a reputable institution dedicated to the education and advancement of future healthcare providers, it is essential to ensure that all qualified students have the opportunity to pursue their nursing education without financial barriers. This would provide an opportunity for deserving students to realize their potential and make a meaningful impact in the healthcare sector, as providing ease in financial accessibility directly correlates to on-time graduation and a faster transition to the professional work environment.

This necessitates immediate action. This is a plea to mandate Chamberlain University to offer a lender for its promising students in need. Please sign this petition to facilitate the advancement of dedicated healthcare professionals of the future. Together, we can impact positive change and help dreams come true.
