Mandate ASIO to Report on Australia’s Drift from Founding Principles – Restore Unity and Sovereignty

We, the undersigned citizens and residents of Australia, call on the Parliament to amend the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation Act 1979 to require ASIO to include in its annual public report a clear, non-classified assessment of:

  • National social cohesion and public confidence in governance;
  • Shifts in Australian values compared to the founding principles of 1901;
  • Public sentiment on the size, scope, and reach of government;
  • Risks to national unity from cultural, ideological, or demographic changes;
  • Indicators of social fragmentation or deliberate interference in civic life.

This assessment must use existing data (protests, sentiment analysis, open-source trends) and highlight risks of instability if trends continue unchecked.

The report must include recommendations for non-coercive, community-led action to strengthen unity, restore constitutional balance, and realign governance with Australia’s historical and democratic norms.

A declassified version must be published online within 30 days of submission to the Minister — fully accessible to all Australians.

Why this matters:

Australians are not being told the full story. Our nation was founded on small government, state sovereignty, and a shared cultural identity.

Today, many feel that identity is fracturing — through rapid demographic change, centralised power, and the erosion of traditional values. Without transparency, debate dies. Without data, hope fades.

This is not about fear — it’s about early warning. ASIO already monitors threats to security. Let it also shine a light on threats to our way of life — so we can act peacefully, democratically, and in time.
