As a mother of four children who attend Griffin State School in Queensland, Australia, I am faced with the daily struggle of finding suitable parking. The school has outgrown its current parking facilities and parents are struggling to find a place to park when collecting their children. I often have to arrive at the school more than an hour before it finishes just to secure a spot.

The issue extends beyond mere inconvenience; it's about safety and fairness. Parents who park safely but outside designated areas due to lack of spaces are being fined by the council. This is not only unjust but also adds financial pressure on families.

Griffin State School has seen significant growth in recent years, yet its infrastructure hasn't kept pace with this expansion. It's time for our local council to address this issue and ensure that there are adequate parking facilities for all parents and guardians.
