The psychological impact of abductions, particularly those masterminded through fraudulent means, cannot be overstated. According to a study conducted by the American Psychological Association, children who have been abducted or manipulated through false pretenses are often severely traumatized, leading to long-term emotional and psychological problems.

Yet, despite being a severe exploitative act, abduction through fraudulent acts is not treated with the strictness it deserves. This is why we are demanding a change in legislation, to classify abductions by way of acts of fraud as a federal offense, ensuring more stringent penalties and stronger deterrence against such behavior - an essential step to safeguard our children's rights and well-being.
