Please help us to save the lives of children and adults crossing this very dangerous local road.  Do you know the crossing at Broadway/Moston Lane East is the only crossing on Broadway that doesn't have a pelican crossing on it?  Do you know that this crossing is used by hundreds of children and adults every day?  Do you know that the lollipop man is almost knocked down at least once a week by inconsiderate motorists?  Do you know it only costs £50,000 to put this right but neither Manchester City Council nor Oldham Council are prepared to pay for these lights to be changed to allow children and adults to safely cross the road?  Why is no action taken until a fatality occurs.  Are you prepared to wait until that happens before helping us take action to sort this problem out?  All we need is for a pelican crossing to be installed at these lights and for the whole of Broadway (a road that is densely populated and has several schools on it or in close proximity to it) to be reduced to 30mph.  Please sign this petition and help save lives before it's too late
