As stated in the DUT SRC constitution, section 3.8, "The SRC shall convey student matters in all general referenda and petitions organized by students, in accodance with the rules of the SRC and the university".

We therefore call upon all higher certificate students to sign the petition to help us show our intentions as higher certificate students, with the already hard to get into job market, our higher certificates are not enough to survive with. we therefore beg the DUT senate, DVC of academics and all involved stake holders to review the decision to send us back home. We are ready to once again perform academically as we have done after we were told that should we perform academically we will be allowed to enter into diploma courses.

we do not seek to disturb any university proceedings but we simply want a chance to better our futures. We hope the issue of higher certificates and our academic future will be given the necessary attention.

Due to the urgency of the matter, with no disrespect intended can the institution please answer to the raised issue within 24 hours from receiving the petition.
