STOP  Dolphin Swimming Programs in Dolphinaris at Barceló Maya Beach Resort in Mexico – Captivity KILLS and Tourists CARE !!

Mexico, the state Quintana Roo and Riviera Maya are known for beauty and richness of nature, hospitality and attraction for tourists from all over the world. Now, you put this perception on danger. Worldwide initiatives successfully create awareness for the cruelty of the worldwide dolphin captivity industry. Mexico and the Barceló Maya Beach Resort are in danger to harm tourist perception as it actually actively supports worldwide captivity industry with dolphinariums such as in Barceló Maya Beach Resort.

Barcelo Maya built a small sized concrete swimming pool and put five fully grown adult dolphins into it. Dolphinariums are expensive and therefore charge a lot of money for tourist entertainment such as swimming with dolphins, dolphin riding and dolphin interaction programs as in Dolphinaris Barcelo.

Barcelo Maya lied during the construction of the Dolphinaris dolphin swim facility, they told everyone who asked questions about the construction of the pool that it was a pool for divers. Since the Dolphinaris dolphin-park has opened there has been a barrage of negative opinions and protest.

Barcelo Maya claims to support the environment and sustainability but they have taken five highly intelligent mammals that swim 50+ miles a day in the open ocean and put them inside a shallow, concrete swimming pool with no shade to make money. Pictures show how small the pool is, dirty, without sun protection and how lethargic the dolphins vegetate outside of the regular show times where they have to perform for tourists in order to get food to be saturated.
