Mummy swan and one cygnet are left on the lake. Daddy swan and the rest of the cygnets attempted to leave the lake but misjudged it and gusts of wind took them crashing into local barges and boats. The lakes fencing and overgrown rushes makes the ornamental lake as it is a prison for the swans. It should be returned to its original purpose of an Edwardian swimming lake.
