BIKC British Indoor Kart Championship. 

Please sign and leave your personal comments experiences of BIKC.  

2024 was a disaster and both Regional but mainly National Level. 

  What we want initially is a formal apology to all attendees for the disaster  that was the 2024 BIKC National Finals. Then for 2025:

1. Rolling starts again at Warrington the standing starts this weekend have proved they do not work 
2. Random kart numbers drawn from a hat, not generated by staff to remove the implications of fixing the race. 
3. Better fleet testing for all karts with the results shared to all competitors. 
4. Better Torque ratio for karts
5. Scrap or Revised Joker Lap.  Ideally a extension of the track so no need to a)drive through a pit lane b) reduce kart to a lower speed level which clearly caused issues at Warrington. 
6. Better camera positioning to aid staff and viewers to much was obscured by posts. 
7.  Make VAR evidence available. If a penalty is given for contact in a session then the penalised driver should be shown the footage used to come to the decision with the driver given a chance to (calmly and respectfully) justify their action especially in cases where the decision prohibits the driver from being able to continue in the competition.                         

   
    

   I'm doing this as a competitor of 2 years with BIKC and a father/Step father of 6 other competitors,  who have attended and competed at Docklands for Locals in both 2023 and 24.  We also went to regionals in 2023 with 1 of us making it those regionals and 4 of us making it to the Regional at Farnborough in 2024.  Between us we have over 1500 races at various Teamsport tracks!!!!

   I have witnessed and received horrendous service at Regional level 2 years running and watched 2 years online National Finals and am very disappointed with the way it is managed and shocked at some of the decisions, particularly in 2024.

   Over 5000 people enter this event annualy  and deserve better   all the staff at local Track level in my experience are amazing and go 110% to ensure it's Fun Fair and Safe.   These staff do an amazing job at representing Teamsport and give the company a good name this then gets ruined by the service these competitors receive by certain race directors and matched by management at Head Office level who seem incapable of replying to emails.  I myself along with my eldest son were banned from all tracks following a disagreement with 1 certain race director after he threatened Me (after i allegedly smashed his phone he had left sitting on a tyre barrier I accidentally made contact with during a heat) and warned me I was a target, then gave my eldest son a penalty in the very next race that took him from 4th island through to the semi final to 7th and knocked out   This penalty was blatantly false and was all because of what happened with me earlier in the day. The race director even had the audacity to smirk when giving the penalty some 10 minutes after the race. 

   This years national finals were absolutely aweful, some of the decisions again made by the same race director along woth others were blatantly incorrect.  Several drivers were given penalties to myself and the generla public along with the drivers in question were questionable to say the least.  These penalties were catastrophic and took several of the quickest drivers out of the running for the final, whilst other drivers were simply smashed off the track  without offending drivers being punished, this is just unfair to the driver invilved. The way the heavyweight finals were restarted after a red flag with less that 1 minute to go was absolutely unbelievable.  Every other race ended with a minute to go, on the clock (normal Teamsport timing)  it was blatantly obvious to everyone on the chat watching that the result was calculated incorrectly and drivers were robbed of their podiums. This was further strengthened by the fact that there were no heavyweight drivers interviewed after the race.  Every other weight catagory received such interviews.  

   This action will not directly affect me as I am not allowed to take part in BIKC and i will not allow my children etc to compete, but I like many others feel so strongly about the way me, my family and hundreds of other competitors have been treated that I feel this is justified. Stand up make someone at Teamsport listen to their memebers and take action accordingly.
